Not sure which one? If your organization's gross revenue is under Epic's threshold for the standard Fab license, Personal is for you. Above the threshold, Professional is required by Fab's terms. The plugin itself is identical.

What's in the box.

Both licenses ship the exact same plugin. No feature gating, no usage limits, no missing tools. What you see here is what you get, in either license.

Common questions

The plugin is 100% identical. Same 329 tools, same 11 AI providers + custom endpoint, same MCP CLI bridge, same NodeForge compiler, same per-asset chat, same auto-backup. The only difference is the Fab marketplace license tier:

  • Personal ($99.99 USD) uses Fab's Personal/Standard license. Designed for solo creators, freelancers, and small teams whose organization is under Epic's revenue threshold.
  • Professional ($199.99 USD) uses Fab's Professional license. Required by Fab's terms if your organization's gross revenue exceeds Epic's threshold.

One-time purchase. Pay once, own forever. All future updates are included at no extra cost. No monthly fees. No recurring charges. No "credits" to top up.

Yes. For cloud providers, you bring your own API key (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, MiniMax, Groq, Mistral, Cohere, Grok, GLM, or any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint). Your key talks directly to the provider, with no proxy and no markup. You pay providers at their published rates.

Or run Ollama locally for $0 in API costs forever, fully offline, on your own GPU.

A native C++ MCP server (Model Context Protocol, JSON-RPC 2.0) baked directly into the editor. No Python sidecar, no proxy, no third-party bridge to install. It exposes all 329 CodeScape tools to any MCP-compatible client over localhost:

  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • Codex
  • Gemini CLI
  • Any other MCP client (it's a standard protocol)

Bound to 127.0.0.1 only. OFF by default. You enable it explicitly in Project Settings.

CodeScape requires Unreal Engine 5.7 or later. It's an editor-only plugin that runs entirely within the UE5 editor. Zero impact on your shipped game's runtime, package size, or performance.

Yes. With Ollama integration, you can run AI models completely locally. No internet connection. No data leaving your machine. Full privacy for sensitive projects, NDA-bound work, or air-gapped environments. Works in both Personal and Professional licenses.

Yes. Every tool that modifies an asset creates an automatic backup before changes. Full FScopedTransaction support means every operation can be undone with Ctrl+Z. Your work is always protected.

Fab handles license upgrades on its end. This is a marketplace policy, not a CodeScape policy. Once your situation crosses Epic's revenue threshold, you're expected to purchase the Professional license to stay compliant. The plugin you've already been using is identical, so there's nothing to reinstall or migrate.

Refunds are handled by Fab marketplace under their standard terms. See Fab's refund policy for the current window and conditions.

The custom endpoint accepts any OpenAI-compatible API. As long as a new model launches with an OpenAI-style endpoint (which is the industry standard), you plug in its URL and key and use it the same day. No plugin update required, no waiting. That covers OpenRouter, Together, Fireworks, vLLM, LM Studio, internal company gateways, and pretty much every LLM that ships with a public API.
